"The Holy Spirit is God. Okay, he is not an it; he is not some vapor of smoke; he is God." — Pastor Mike Jenkins

Pastor Mike Jenkins continues his series on the Holy Spirit by underscoring that the Spirit is God Himself, not merely a force. He emphasizes the importance of understanding the full gospel—including the reality of both heaven and hell—so that people know what they are being saved from. Pastor Jenkins challenges every believer to be a witness of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, leveraging their personal story of redemption to reach a lost world.

<description>

In part 10 of his series, Pastor Mike Jenkins dives deep into the core message of salvation, reminding us that the work of the Holy Spirit is God's effort to restore us to fellowship with Him. He breaks down "five-dollar church words" like justification (just as if I'd never sinned) and challenges listeners to move past the superficial to embrace the profound, life-changing truth of the gospel.

The message is framed around these main points:

-- The Holy Spirit is God, not an "it." He is the power behind the gospel, working to redeem and restore us.
-- Your testimony is critically important. The real story of salvation starts with what happened to you, and sharing it is essential for touching others.
-- The full gospel includes the "hard truth." We must present both the hope of Heaven and the reality of Hell so people know their need for a Savior.
-- The gospel is defined by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the message that has the power to change us.
-- Every believer is called to be a witness. We are all commissioned to go, make disciples, and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.

"God, the Holy Spirit is resident in you. And if you haven't wrapped your head around that fact, God is in you, it will change the way you live. It will change the way you act."
--Pastor Mike Jenkins

Pastor Mike Jenkins continues the series on the Holy Spirit, clarifying that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, fully God—not a feeling or a wisp of smoke. By examining the Book of Acts, Luke's historical account of the early church, Pastor Mike challenges believers to recognize their primary mission is not just evangelism, but discipleship. Learn why knowing the Holy Spirit is resident in you is the key to fulfilling the Great Commission and profoundly changing your life and actions.

The Power of the Great Commission: Go and Make Disciples

In this installment of the "Holy Spirit" series, Pastor Mike Jenkins examines the foundational work of the Spirit as chronicled in the Book of Acts. Written by the physician Luke, Acts serves as the history of the early church and a roadmap for today's believers. Pastor Mike addresses core theological questions and practical applications for our modern walk:

-- The Holy Spirit is God, equally so with the Father and the Son, and is not a feeling, a wisp of smoke, or an impersonal "it."
-- The purpose of the Book of Acts was to document the growth of the New Testament Church following Jesus’ ascension, demonstrating the successful implementation of His teachings.
-- The Great Commission is the unstoppable, biblical command given by Jesus to His followers, backed by all authority in heaven and on earth.
-- The central task is to make disciples, not just to evangelize, as discipleship ensures new believers know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to defend their faith.
-- The realization that the Holy Spirit is resident in you should profoundly change the way you live, act, and view your life.
-- Fellowship is vital; the physical presence, handshake, and godly hug among believers provides necessary edification, strength, and love that technology cannot replicate.

The Power and Preciousness of the Blood: Understanding Holy Communion

Pastor Mike Jenkins delves into the profound significance of Holy Communion, emphasizing that it's a precious act of remembrance, not a frivolous tradition. Centering on the message of the classic hymn "There is Power in the Blood," he uses accounts from the Gospels and Paul's letter to the Corinthians to highlight that the bread and cup represent Jesus' body and the new covenant in His blood, which brings eternal redemption. The sermon focuses heavily on the doctrine of justification—being made "just as if I never sinned"—which is solely made possible by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the once-for-all Passover Lamb. He concludes by confirming that this church practices open communion, welcoming all born-again believers to the Lord's table.

The Covenant in His Blood: A Study on Communion and Justification
Join Pastor Mike Jenkins as he unpacks the deep, non-frivolous meaning behind Holy Communion, drawing from both modern and traditional worship to connect us with the intimacy of the Last Supper. This teaching underscores that Communion is a command from the Lord—a proclamation of His death until He returns—and a celebration of the power of His blood that cleanses us from all sin. Discover why the act of remembering is tied to the eternal redemption secured by Christ.

Key Themes and Main Points:

-- Communion is a Precious Remembrance: The act is special and not light, recalling the intimate time Jesus shared it with His disciples. -- The Power is in the Blood: The shed blood of Jesus is the single source of pardon, cleansing, hope, peace, and righteousness, as proclaimed in the hymn "There is Power in the Blood." -- A Once-for-All Sacrifice: Christ is the Passover Lamb who permanently takes away the sin of the world, replacing the annual covering of sins under the Mosaic Law. -- Justification by Blood: To be "justified" means God looks at a believer "just as if I never sin," a gift received not by works, but by grace through faith in the blood of Jesus. -- The Simple Road to Salvation: Salvation is achieved by simply confessing with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead (The Romans Road). -- Open Communion: All born-again believers in a relationship with Jesus Christ are welcomed to fellowship at the Lord's table, regardless of church membership.

"Freedom comes with a cost." - Pastor Joshua Limpert

Pastor Joshua Limpert explores the story of Paul and Silas in the Philippian jail (Acts 16) to reveal where true, unshakable freedom is found. Stripped, beaten, and shackled, these men praised God at midnight—and an earthquake set them free. This message challenges listeners to examine if they have the peace that surpasses all understanding, or if they are enslaved by the burdens of their past and the ways of the world, even while living in a free society. Discover the simple key to salvation and lasting peace: believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Paradox of Peace: Finding Freedom in the Shackles

Join Pastor Joshua Limpert as he dives deep into the concept of freedom, starting with the sacrifice of military service and culminating in the spiritual freedom offered by Jesus Christ. Using the dramatic account of Paul and Silas in the Philippian jail from Acts chapter 16, Pastor Limpert reveals that true liberty is not dependent on circumstances, but on a deep surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. Their midnight worship, born from faith, brought an earthquake that not only opened the doors but also broke their shackles.

In this message, you will learn:

-- True freedom comes with a cost, a price that was paid by Paul and Silas, and ultimately by Jesus. -- The peace of God surpasses all understanding and is not bound by your current circumstances—it doesn't have to make sense. -- A lack of peace means you are likely dragging burdens from your past, which haunt and prevent true service to God. -- True salvation is found in the simple but profound command: "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved." -- The promise of salvation extends to your entire household when you fully surrender to Christ. -- The ways of the world are chains and shackles, and sin gives the enemy legal access to your life. -- If you abide in Christ's word, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

"If God wants to move, you can either be a willing vessel or your own thief." — Kimberly Dissmore

Kimberly Dissmore shares her journey from a lifetime in the church to embracing her own personal mission call to England. She discusses how God continually opens doors, even after previous attempts failed, and challenges listeners to examine their own "little strength" and willingness to obey. This message encourages believers to choose generational faith over generational doubt, reminding us that being a missionary starts right where we are, at home, by simply honoring the Lord with our lives and being a willing vessel for His purpose.

<description>

In this candid and challenging message, missionary associate Kimberly Dissmore shares her powerful testimony of recognizing and accepting God's call to serve in England. Growing up in the church, Kimberly learned the importance of transitioning from a family-based faith to a deeply personal relationship with God. She explains the reality of the spiritual isolation and secularism she is preparing to combat overseas, and how this struggle with "generational doubt" is also subtly creeping into the States.

Kimberly breaks down a key Scripture that confirmed her call, showing how God acknowledges our weaknesses yet still places open doors before us. You'll be challenged to re-examine what it means to be a "willing vessel" versus robbing yourself of joy by trying to walk in your own strength.

Key Takeaways from the Message: -- It's time to own your relationship with God; at the end of the day, it is you and the Lord. -- The Lord knows your weaknesses ("little strength") and is not downplaying them; He simply doesn't let them define you. -- Generational faith is a legacy built by praying parents and friends who are not ashamed to live for God. -- We must stop placing human limitations on God; He will equip you to walk through the doors He opens. -- Being a missionary doesn't require a passport; it begins with living your life in a way that honors the Lord.

"You cannot accomplish the will of God without the love of God. It is impossible." - Pastor Joshua Limpert

Pastor Joshua Limpert contrasts the kingdom of the world with the Kingdom of God, highlighting that true discipleship is recognized by love for one another. <description>

In this candid message, Pastor Joshua Limpert shares a challenging, eye-opening paper that contrasts the nature of the world’s kingdom with God’s Kingdom. He opens up about his own season of having to humble himself and serve in a company he once managed, realizing the deeper call to be a servant with a grateful heart. This practical journey leads to the central teaching of the message: The New Commandment.

Pastor Limpert delves into what it truly means to love one another, just as Jesus has loved us (John 13:34).

He emphasizes that this love is the distinguishing mark by which all people will know we are Christ's disciples.

The teaching contrasts the tribal, self-interested nature of the world's kingdom with God's universal love that sacrifices personal interest.

He explores the powerful example of Jesus washing the disciples' feet, illustrating true greatness is found in humble service.

The message warns against operating out of fear or self-ambition (seeking title over God's will), which prevents us from demonstrating authentic, transformative love.

He concludes by reminding us that the will of God cannot be accomplished without the love of God, and encourages an examination of our hearts using the characteristics of love from 1 Corinthians 13.

"The spirit of complaining will kill the spirit of revival and the Holy Spirit quicker than anything will. If God inhabits the praises of His people, who inhabits their complaining?"
--Zach Rocke

In this profound message, Zach Rocke dives into Jesus's parables from Luke 15—the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Prodigal Son. He challenges believers to see themselves in every character, recognizing that we are both the lost and the seeker. Rocke urges listeners to take on the role of the shepherd by leaving the crowds that hinder their walk and by cleaning their own "house" (heart and life) first, reminding us that our value is inherent and not based on performance. Finally, he unpacks the story of the elder brother, revealing how a lack of thanksgiving can leave us "lost" even when we are physically in the Father's presence.

Finding the Lost Treasure Within: A Study of Luke 15
In this compelling study from Luke 15, Zach Rocke explores the famous parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son, challenging the listener to apply what he calls the "law of inversion"—if Jesus is the shepherd, then we, as his followers, must also be the shepherd. This message is for both the 'lost' and the 'found,' addressing the need for every believer to leave behind performance and reclaim their eternal, unchangeable value in Christ. The teaching is structured around three actionable points for every believer's life:

-- Leave the crowd: To find lost things—including the lost parts of yourself (spirit, soul, and body) still carrying trauma or negativity—you must sometimes leave the crowds, lifestyles, or relationships that pull you away from Jesus's best.

-- Clean your house: As the temple of the Holy Spirit, judgment must begin with God's household (1 Peter 4:17). We must sweep our own hearts and lives first before judging others. Rocke emphasizes that the woman swept the house because of the coin's value, not to earn it—your value is not performance-based.

-- Stay thankful: The Prodigal Son knew his way home, but the Elder Brother, who stayed, missed out on the Father's provision due to a lack of thankfulness. Full access to the Kingdom is granted not through a perfect track record or performance, but through thanksgiving.

<description>

In a moving service featuring the dedication of miracle baby Abigail Ava Marie Rose Banda, Pastor Mike Jenkins uses the family's testimony of loss and triumph to teach on the sacred stewardship of raising children. This message offers foundational instruction on biblical parenting, clarifying key doctrinal points and empowering parents to embrace their God-given role as primary spiritual influencers.

Main Points from the Message:

-- Dedication vs. Baptism: Baptism is for believers who can repent and profess faith; baby dedication is a surrender of the child and a solemn commitment of the parents to raise the child in the faith.

-- The Backstory of a Miracle: Kumbo and Lisa Banda share the incredible journey of receiving a prophetic word, facing an emergency surgery (surplus), and experiencing God's peace and victory through a difficult pregnancy and delivery.

-- God's Plan for Procreation: The union of men and women in marriage is a blessing and a ministry for procreating and nurturing souls toward the kingdom of God, leading to both a natural and supernatural birth.

-- The Core Responsibility of Parents: Parents must start children off on the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6), teaching them right from wrong and laying the foundation for their relationship with God.

-- The Faith Family's Role: The church must echo the truths being laid down at home, covenanting to pray for the child, model godliness, and support the family in their task.

-- Creating a Heritage and a Legacy: Godly parenting provides a spiritual peace and rest, assuring parents that their child will be equipped to walk in truth, make wise choices, and represent the family and the Kingdom well.

God Really, Really Likes You
Pastor Khumbo Banda explores the profound truth of God's grace, moving past the common understanding of God's love to embrace His active liking and delight in us. Drawing from Paul’s struggle with his "thorn in the flesh" in 2 Corinthians 12, the message challenges the cultural belief in self-sufficiency and performance. Learn to step out of your own striving and into the powerful, unfailing sufficiency of God's unmerited favor—a favor that is available right now, regardless of your struggles or shortcomings.

<description>

The Unfailing Sufficiency of God's GraceDo you struggle to feel worthy of God’s acceptance? Pastor Khumbo Banda shares a liberating message about the difference between knowing God loves you and truly accepting that God actively likes and delights in you. Just as the Apostle Paul struggled with a "thorn in the flesh," we often face hardships, weaknesses, and a persistent feeling of being "not good enough." But God's response to Paul—"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"—is His present-tense promise to us as well. This teaching reveals that God's grace, defined as His unmerited favor and unfailing strength, is only fully received when we acknowledge our own insufficiency. It is a powerful counter-cultural message against the idolization of the self-made man and performance-based striving. Discover your new identity as a righteous son or daughter of God, realizing that your value is not based on your performance, but on Christ who lives in you. God's liking for you is permanent, available right now, and is the key to stepping into true rest and freedom.-- God's grace is not merely unmerited favor, but also His active delight and joy in us.-- We must come to the end of our own performance and striving to truly trust in God's unfailing strength ($archeo$).-- God's grace is sufficient for every trial, tribulation, and weakness we face.-- Our identity as Christians is changed: we are royal sons and daughters of God, already righteous in His sight.-- Our good works and Bible reading do not make God love us more, and our failures do not make Him love us less—He always likes us.Scriptures for Further Study-- 2 Corinthians 12:9-10-- Romans 7

This message, Hope Is Born by Pastor Mike Jenkins, uses a deeply personal and historical lens to frame the true meaning of Christmas. Sharing a powerful account of his and his wife Carrie's dramatic salvation experience in 1975, followed by the somber remembrance of the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7th, Pastor Jenkins establishes a stark contrast between a world that can change in a second and a God who offers eternal, unwavering hope. He encourages listeners to shift their focus from the holiday rush and frustration to the foundational truth that God sent Himself—not a theory—to live among us.

Into a world filled with the iron fist of Rome, fear, violence, and poverty, hope was born in a quiet stable. The promise of the Prince of Peace means that while trouble may not vanish, it will never have the final word. This Christmas, receive the package deal of hope, peace, and joy that changes the atmosphere of your world and allows hope to arise afresh in your heart.

-- Focus makes the difference; what you focus on determines your experience of the season.

-- Our entire salvation experience is attached to the hope that, no matter what we face, we do not face it alone.

-- God did not send a theory or philosophy to a world of fear and oppression; He sent God in the flesh.

-- Hope makes your world warmer and brighter, changing the atmosphere of any room or situation.

-- The promise of the child in the manger is not that trouble would vanish, but that trouble would never have the final word.

"One of the greatest and terrifying fears is being alone. We fear abandonment; we fear silence. Into that fear, Scripture speaks one word, one name, and that one name changes everything: Emmanuel."
— Pastor Mike Jenkins

The Name That Changes Everything

In this Christmas message, Pastor Mike Jenkins explores the profound meaning of the name "Emmanuel." Moving from the ancient prophecies of Isaiah to the reality of the New Testament, Pastor Mike reminds us that God is not a distant deity watching from afar, but a present Savior who stepped into our world to experience our pain and conquer our greatest fear: being alone. This teaching challenges us to move beyond just knowing about God to living in the reality that He actually dwells within His people.

From the Manger to Your Heart: The Reality of Emmanuel

Christmas is more than a season of nostalgia; it is the fulfillment of a promise that changed the course of human history. In this episode, Pastor Mike Jenkins dives into the "five-dollar church word"—Incarnation—to explain how God moved from the pages of prophecy into the mess of human existence. By examining the title "Emmanuel," we discover a God who identifies with our hunger, fatigue, and grief, ensuring that no believer ever has to walk through life abandoned or forgotten.

Main points discussed in this message:

-- The historical weight of prophecy in Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6 and how they anchored the hope of a nation under threat.

-- Why the fear of being alone is the greatest human terror and how the presence of "God with us" is the ultimate remedy.

-- The concept of "tabernacling," where God’s glory moves from a physical building into the very bodies of His believers.

-- How Jesus, as our High Priest, sympathizes with our weaknesses because He walked the same roads and felt the same pains we do.

-- The shift in perspective from "chasing" God to realizing He is already dwelling within you through the Holy Spirit.

-- The ultimate goal of Emmanuel: moving from the babe in the manger to the man on the cross to provide eternal reconciliation.

"Christmas announces peace on earth, goodwill toward men. Communion tells us how that peace was purchased."
— Pastor Mike Jenkins

In this special holiday message, Pastor Mike Jenkins reflects on the profound connection between the birth of Christ and His ultimate sacrifice on the cross. By weaving together personal stories of faith from his time in the military with the biblical account of the Nativity, Pastor Mike illustrates that the "reason for the season" is not found in gifts or trees, but in the redemptive mission of Jesus. This episode invites listeners to move beyond the sentimental imagery of the manger and gather at the communion table to celebrate the Savior who was born to die so that we might live.

<description>

Pastor Mike Jenkins explores the deep theological and personal significance of the Christmas story, emphasizing that the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem was the first step toward the redemption of humanity at Calvary. Through a special Christmas communion service, the message bridges the gap between the humble stable and the sacrificial table of the Lord.

Key Highlights of the Teaching:

-- Pastor Mike shares a personal reflection on his first Christmas as a believer in 1975, stationed in Spain with the Air Force, where he learned that the joy of Christ transcends physical circumstances and material lack.

-- The significance of "The Stable to the Table," highlighting how the incarnation (God becoming man) is inseparable from the sacrifice of the cross.

-- An explanation of swaddling clothes as a symbol of both humility and the preparation for the "Lamb of God" who would eventually be laid in a tomb.

-- The distinction between the world’s temporary presents and the eternal presence of God offered through Jesus Christ.

-- A call to action based on the Great Commission, reminding believers that after experiencing the gift of Christmas, our "new job" is to tell the world the good news.

"Many ministers fail because they accept the calling but they don’t finish the wilderness."
--Zach Rocke

Why does God lead us into difficult seasons right after we experience His greatest blessings? In "Led Into the Wilderness," Zach Rocke explores the essential "three-pronged test" of the desert. If you’ve ever wondered why your momentum has stalled or why you’re facing a "dry season," this teaching reveals how the wilderness is actually God’s workshop for refining your character and preparing you for a future filled with hope.

The Purpose of the Desert: Refining Your Faith

In this insightful message, Zach Rocke unpacks the spiritual necessity of the "wilderness" experience. Drawing parallels between the temptation of Jesus, the journey of the Israelites, and our modern-day struggles, Zach shows that the desert is not a sign of God's absence, but a proof of His intentionality. Whether you are battling unforgiveness, facing temptation, or waiting for a promise to manifest, this teaching provides the biblical framework to endure and thrive.

-- The wilderness is a place of transition where God moves us out of the "slavery" of sin and into a life of purpose, even if the path seems longer than expected.

-- Every believer faces a "three-pronged test" in the wilderness: identifying what we are truly hungry for, learning to trust God's Word without testing Him, and choosing to serve Him alone.

-- Unforgiveness acts as a bitter root in the desert; if not dug up, it will eventually surface and affect every relationship, including marriage and friendships.

-- Staying in the "vine" is the only way to bear fruit; attempting to fulfill a calling before finishing the wilderness refining process often leads to spiritual failure and public falls.

-- True peace is internal; it is not found in a change of location or a vacation, but in the presence of the Holy Spirit residing within you.

-- Our works will eventually be tested by fire, revealing whether we built our lives on perishable worldly pursuits or the enduring gold of God's will.

Back to Basics: Living the Vision in 2026

In this transparent and challenging message, Pastor Mike Jenkins calls the congregation of Springs of Hope to return to the fundamental disciplines of the Christian faith. Sharing his own journey toward healing and his vision for the coming year, Pastor Mike emphasizes that spiritual growth isn't about complex theology, but about the simple, daily disciplines of "breathing and eating"—prayer and the Word.

-- We must align our profession with the Word of God, especially when facing physical infirmity or the "regular ongoing crud" of life.

-- Faith isn't just a feeling; it is the evidence of things not seen and the substance that allows us to stand firm during medical trials and personal testing.

-- The "2211 Plan" is a practical tool for 2026: read two Old Testament chapters, two New Testament chapters, one Psalm, and one Proverb daily to stay spiritually fed.

-- Justification means being seen by God "just as if I’d never sinned," a reality made possible only through the blood of Jesus Christ.

-- Our corporate mission is to seek and save the lost, but our individual vision is how we use our unique spiritual gifts to execute that plan.

-- Private devotion is the priority for spiritual victory; what you put into your relationship with God in the secret place determines what you get out in public.

The Divine Intersection: Where God and Man Meet

In this moving teaching, Pastor Mike Jenkins dives into the heart of what revival truly is: a personal, life-changing encounter with the Creator. Using the concept of "Geo-God Places," he illustrates how God uses specific moments and locations to refresh, re-fire, and re-tool us for His service. From the Garden of Eden to the mountains of Galilee, the message is clear—the way to the Holy of Holies is open, and God is waiting for you to simply "abide."

-- The four stages of the salvation experience: being confronted, convinced, convicted, and converted.

-- Understanding "Geo-God Places" and how physical locations can hold emotional and spiritual significance in our walk with Christ.

-- The "Three Omnis": Recognizing God as Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent in every area of our lives.

-- The process of spiritual manufacturing: How God uses the "fire" of the Holy Spirit to refresh, re-fire, re-tool, and re-send His people.

-- Moving from effort to flow: Learning to abide and dwell in the presence of God without making it difficult.

-- The restoration of the Eden experience: How the rent veil gives every believer 24/7 access to the Father.

"Prayer is that conversation with God, that two-way relationship. It is a place where God and man meet."
— Pastor Mike Jenkins

Is your spiritual life on life support? 🫁

Pastor Mike Jenkins says most Christians are "holding their breath" and they don't even know it. If you aren't praying, you aren't breathing.

In this powerful new message, "The Secret Place," learn the simple "2-2-1-1" plan to stay spiritually fed and discover the one specific place most Christians never find—but desperately need.

"I fix broke stuff," says God. Are you ready to be re-fired and re-tooled?

<description>

We use the terms "breathing" and "eating" to describe the most basic functions of physical life. If you stop breathing, you die in minutes. If you stop eating, you starve over a season. In the spiritual realm, the equation is exactly the same: Breathing is prayer, and eating is the Word of God.

Many people ask me how much of the Bible they should read. I don't like to pontificate, so I give them a simple guideline: Eat until you are full. You don’t need a manual to tell you how many cheeseburgers to eat; you eat until you are satisfied. For your spirit, I suggest the 2-2-1-1 plan—one Old Testament chapter, one New Testament chapter, and for "dessert," a Psalm or a Proverb. This simple discipline ensures you are consistently feeding on the wisdom of Solomon and the life of Christ.

However, even more urgent than eating is breathing. Prayer is the breath of the Holy Spirit operating within you. Without it, your spirit withers. But prayer is not a religious obligation or a one-sided grocery list of requests. It is a two-way conversation.

I have been married to my childhood sweetheart since 1973. For over 50 years, our relationship has been built on communication. I don't need someone to tell me to be nice to my wife or to spend time with her; I do it because I love her. Marriage is the ultimate biblical illustration of Christ and His Church. If we want that level of intimacy with the Father, we must find what I call "The Secret Place."

The Secret Place is a dedicated time and location where you and God meet. It is a place where the noise of the world is shut out, and the voice of God becomes clear. In my own life, I have found that this place is where the real work happens. It is where God takes someone who might have been a "dirtbag" by the world’s standards and begins a six-step transformation.

First, He redeems us. Then, He restores us and reconciles us. Once we are right with Him, He refreshes us. But then comes the hard part: He re-fires us. Like metal in a forge, He uses heat and pressure to make us pliable. Finally, He re-tools us, equipping us for eternal kingdom work.

God is not a distant, silent figure. He is a real God who wants a real relationship. When you read the Word and a verse "jumps off the page," that is the Holy Spirit giving you a Rhema word—a direct, revealed message for your life.

I challenge you today: find your secret place. Make it a daily habit. Stop playing at church and start engaging with the living God. He is waiting to meet you there.

The Gateway to Spiritual Power

In this moving teaching, Pastor Mike Jenkins explores the vital necessity of a dedicated prayer life. Drawing from the journals of E.M. Bounds and the lives of biblical giants, he illustrates that our eternal and temporal destinies are forged in private, not in public. He challenges the modern church's busyness, calling us back to a place of total vulnerability and submission.

-- The Secret Place is a literal and spiritual location where God and man meet, intended for intimacy and total vulnerability.

-- True submission to God is likened to a dog going "belly up"—a position of complete trust where you are unable to defend yourself.

-- Spiritual empires and personal destinies are not built in public settings but are forged on one's face in private prayer.

-- We must resist the urge to compare ourselves to others or dwell on past failures; God is in the business of refreshing, refiring, and retooling his servants.

-- Modern religious activities and programs are no substitute for the power found in a consistent, private devotional life.

In this installment of "The Secret Place" series, Pastor Mike Jenkins moves past the basics to issue a "legal indictment" against the lackluster prayer lives of many believers. Through personal transparency regarding his own eight years of journaling and his struggles with obedience, Pastor Mike demonstrates that our connection to the Father is the direct source of our earthly success and spiritual power.

-- The Indictment of Lackluster Prayer: Many Christians pray out of obligation or "begrudgingly," failing to show the fruit of a powerful relationship with God.

-- The E.M. Bounds Example: Learning from the discipline of spiritual giants who prioritized prayer above all earthly comforts.

-- True Promotion: Understanding that success in secular jobs and wealth doesn’t come from the East or West, but is a blessing from God based on our stewardship and seeking Him first.

-- The 5:00 AM Mandate: Why setting a specific "time and tempo" for the secret place is essential for transformation.

-- Sacrificial Giving: A reminder that biblical stewardship means giving until it "stings," reflecting a heart that values God over inventory.

-- From Ordinary to Extraordinary: How divine intimacy develops ordinary people into spiritual giants and prepares us for the "final altar call" of life.

Are you actually in the game, or just cheering from the sidelines? In this convicting message, Pastor Joshua Limpert breaks down the three stages of a spiritual walk: the Fan, the Follower, and the Disciple. Through personal stories of radical honesty and biblical truths from the lives of Peter and Paul, you’ll discover why "following" Jesus isn't the finish line—and what it truly costs to be a disciple who changes the world.

<description>

In "Fan, Follower, or Disciple," Pastor Joshua Limpert challenges the modern "spectator" version of Christianity. Drawing from the Gospel of John and the book of Acts, he explores the messy, necessary process of moving from someone who simply admires Jesus to someone who is willing to suffer for Him. He shares his own vulnerable journey of faith—including the struggles of purity and the temptation to hold back parts of his life from God—to show that while the process of discipleship is a "fire," it is the only path to a life that can withstand an earthquake.

-- We often start as fans in the stadium, knowing about Jesus without truly being known by Him or participating in His work.

-- Moving from a fan to a follower involves an "apprenticeship" where our fleshly desires are stripped away, often through testing and failure.

-- The transition to a disciple is marked by a "daily devotion" of crucifying the flesh and a steadfastness that praises God even in the midst of humiliation and trials.

-- True discipleship isn't just about personal growth; it is about fulfilling the Great Commission by pouring into others and making new disciples.

"Jesus was very relatable to people because Jesus told stories."
— Pastor Mike Jenkins

What if the most powerful tool for evangelism isn't a theology degree, but the simple story of what God has done in your life? In this episode, Pastor Mike Jenkins breaks down the profound intimacy of the Last Supper and challenges us to move beyond "Good News Club" Christianity into a life of authority, healing, and "Blessed Assurance."

In this message, Pastor Mike Jenkins reflects on the recent E4 leadership conference and a powerful encounter with the hymns of old. Drawing from the "Redback Hymnal" and the stirring lyrics of Blessed Assurance, Pastor Mike explores how our personal testimony serves as a bridge to the Gospel. From the shores of the Pacific Northwest to the heart of Wakulla, the message remains the same: Jesus relates to us through stories, and He calls us to tell ours.

The teaching transitions into a deep dive into the institution of the Lord’s Supper, examining the different perspectives found in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark. Pastor Mike contrasts the betrayal of Judas with our own daily walk, offering a raw and honest look at what it means to be "justified" while walking in the authority of Christ to pray for the sick and expect the miraculous.

-- Go tell your story: Understanding that Jesus used relatability and storytelling to reach the lost, and we are called to do the same.

-- The power of the "Redback Hymnal": Why the theology in classic hymns like Blessed Assurance still holds the key to our identity in Christ.

-- Faith in the face of a diagnosis: A personal update on Pastor Mike’s journey of healing and the importance of rebuking the enemy’s report.

-- The Judas dynamic: A sobering reflection on how we sometimes betray the Cross in our daily lives and the grace that meets us there.

-- The "Franchise License": Recognizing that because Jesus went to the Father, we have the authority to do the works He did and even greater.

-- Communion across cultures: A humorous and insightful look at how the Lord’s Supper is celebrated from Florida to Spain.

"Do good people make it to heaven? Only if they know Jesus, right? Saved people make it to heaven."

Is being "good" enough to get through the gates of heaven? In this convicting message, Pastor Joshua Limpert dives into the parables of Matthew to reveal the difference between being invited and being prepared. From the oil of the Holy Spirit to the wedding garment of salvation, discover why your "own works" will leave you speechless at the finish line—and how to ensure your light never goes out.

<description>

In a world that equates kindness with salvation, Pastor Joshua Limpert delivers a powerful wake-up call based on the teachings of Jesus in the Book of Matthew. Using the Parable of the Wedding Feast and the Ten Virgins, Pastor Joshua challenges the "good person" narrative and emphasizes that only those clothed in the righteousness of Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit are truly ready for the Kingdom. This message is an urgent plea to move beyond religious tradition and into a radical, surrendered relationship with Jehovah Jireh.

-- Good people don’t make it to heaven; saved people do. We are all sinners who fall short of God’s glory, and our only hope is the substitutionary work of Jesus Christ.

-- The "Wedding Garment" represents the Holy Spirit. Without this seal of approval and the fruits of the Spirit, we remain "friends" of the King but not children of the Kingdom.

-- You cannot borrow someone else’s fire. Just like the foolish virgins, we are responsible for our own intimacy with God and must consistently "trim our wicks" to stay spiritually awake.

-- Salvation requires a total surrender of the "self-provider" mindset. God doesn't want a portion of your life; He demands the whole thing, delivering us from the things we once used to cope.

-- The mission of the believer is the Great Commission. If we have the joy of the Holy Spirit, it should be impossible to stay silent while those around us—family, coworkers, and neighbors—are headed for the "outer darkness."

What happens when a self-proclaimed "18-year-old heathen" is sent halfway across the world only to be intercepted by the Holy Spirit? In this moving message, Pastor Mike Jenkins shares his personal journey from military orders and "full-blown macho" skepticism to a life-changing encounter at an altar. If you’ve ever felt adrift or wondered if God truly sees you, this story of a providential "U-turn" will show you exactly how far God is willing to go to bring you home.

We often wander through life thinking we are the masters of our own destiny, only to find ourselves "11 miles out at sea" without a compass. In this message, Pastor Mike Jenkins uses his own military testimony to illustrate the desperate state of being spiritually lost and the overwhelming grace that meets us when we finally surrender. From the fear of a Vietnam-era deployment to a divine appointment in a Spanish chow hall, this teaching explores the transition from being "unregenerate" to becoming a part of the Ecclesia—the body of Christ.

-- He shares his 1975 testimony of being an 18-year-old in the Air Force, originally ordered to Thailand during the Vietnam War, and the fear that comes with facing mortality without faith.

-- He explains the "U-turn" of his military orders to Spain as a physical manifestation of the spiritual turnaround God was about to perform in his life.

-- He describes his first uncomfortable experience in a Pentecostal church, highlighting that God often uses the very things that make us squirm to get our attention.

-- He breaks down "5-dollar church words" like justification and regeneration into simple, relatable concepts using the analogy of a boat lost in a sea fog.

-- He emphasizes the "Tabletop Experience"—the importance of finding a community of believers, like the eight soldiers who poured into his life for three years, to help a new Christian grow.

-- He concludes with a powerful reminder that while sin separates us from God, the "Message of Hope" is that no one is too far gone to be rescued and brought into the family of God.

"The story of Passover is the story of redemption. It was Jesus' last Passover, but it was the disciples' first communion."
— Fiona Sorbala

What is the difference between a traditional Seder and a Messianic Passover? In this illuminating session, Fiona Sorbala of Chosen People Ministries unwraps the deep symbolic layers of the Passover meal, revealing how every element—from the bitter herbs to the four cups of wine—points directly to Jesus. Discover how an ancient Jewish feast became the foundation for the Christian Lord’s Table and why the story of Israel’s deliverance is actually your story of redemption.

<description>

In this teaching, Fiona Sorbala explores the rich tapestry of the Passover Seder, illustrating how the rituals commanded in Exodus find their ultimate fulfillment in the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. By walking through the elements of the Passover plate and the "purging of leaven," she demonstrates that the spiritual journey of Israel from Egyptian bondage to the Promised Land is a blueprint for the believer’s journey from the slavery of sin to the freedom of the New Covenant.

-- The Passover Seder is a "living memorial" designed to make the story of redemption a personal, present-day experience for every generation.

-- The four cups of wine represent four specific promises of God from Exodus 6: sanctification, deliverance, redemption, and praise.

-- The purging of leaven (hametz) is not just a house-cleaning ritual but a spiritual metaphor for casting out malice and evil to walk in sincerity and truth.

-- Jesus used the "Cup of Blessing" (Kiddush) to set Himself apart for the journey to the Cross, transforming the Passover into the first Communion.

-- The hyssop used to apply lamb’s blood to the doorposts in Egypt mirrors the way our hearts are "sprinkled" with the blood of the Lamb to escape judgment.

<title>Choosing Your Master: The Reality of Spiritual Slavery by Kumbo Banda</title>

"When restaurants talk about the worst days to actually have service, it's on Sundays. When the Christians are coming in... we're the ones who aren't tipping. We need to be the ones who love extravagantly."
--Kumbo Banda

We often celebrate Palm Sunday as a day of parade and praise, but beneath the surface lies a radical call to surrender. Kumbo Banda explores the provocative imagery of "slavery" used by the Apostle Paul, challenging us to recognize that we are always bound to something. Are you tied to the sins that lead to death, or have you voluntarily bound yourself to the Master who gives life? This message will change the way you view your identity, your freedom, and your Sunday afternoon behavior.

<description>

In this powerful Palm Sunday message, Kumbo Banda examines the transition from the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem to the deep theological truths of Romans 6. He breaks down the historical context of Roman slavery to illustrate what it truly means to be a "slave to Christ." While the world views slavery as the ultimate loss of personhood, the Gospel reveals it as the ultimate path to righteousness and life.

-- Jesus did not enter Jerusalem quietly but loudly, showing His deity and incredible courage by following the Father’s plan toward the cross.

-- In the Roman world, becoming a slave meant a complete severance from the old life, including names, relationships, and status.

-- Paul uses the Greek word doulos and its root deo (to bind) to explain that we choose who we tie ourselves to.

-- As followers of Christ, we are no longer "sinners saved by grace" in our identity, but we are the "righteousness of God" in Christ Jesus.

-- Spiritual disciplines like prayer, fasting, and evangelism are the natural markers of those who are truly bound to God.

-- Our faith must be lived out in practical ways, including how we treat those in the service industry and the "least of these."

The Victory of the Empty Tomb

In this moving Easter message, Pastor Mike Jenkins takes us from a small house in Spain in 1975 to the bustling streets of Jerusalem, tracing the evidence of the resurrected Christ. By examining the unique perspectives of the four Gospel writers and the personal testimony of the Apostle Paul, we see a clear picture of a Savior who didn't just die for the world, but died for you. This teaching challenges believers to move past a "drunken stupor" of complacency and embrace the steadfast, unmovable life that only comes through the victory of Jesus Christ.

-- Pastor Mike's first Easter in Spain and the personal realization of Galatians 2:20.

-- Why Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John provide different but complementary perspectives on the resurrection.

-- The significance of Jesus appearing first to Mary Magdalene and later to over 500 witnesses.

-- Understanding our "justified" status: Standing before God as though we had never sinned.

-- The future promise of the "twinkling of an eye" and the final destruction of the enemy called death.

From Resurrection to Power: The Purpose of the Wait

In this episode, Pastor Mike Jenkins breaks down the timeline between the Resurrection, the Ascension, and Pentecost, explaining why the "waiting period" is just as divine as the miracle itself. He challenges the idea that the church is a building, reminding every believer that they are the strategy God has chosen to reach the lost.

-- Everything changed after the resurrection, shifted at the ascension, but the biggest change occurred at Pentecost.

-- The gospel is simple: it is the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that resurrection is the power that gives the message its strength.

-- Every believer should be able to articulate their faith and conversion experience in 10 to 15 seconds, because "if Jesus is alive, everything changes."

-- Failure does not finish you; just as Peter was restored after his denial, God restores broken people to become mighty witnesses.

-- Waiting is not wasted time; God works behind the scenes during our "waiting seasons" to prepare us for what is next.

-- Prayer must precede power; we must position ourselves in unity and "pregnant expectation" for the manifestation of God’s presence.

-- The Holy Spirit is the one who empowers believers, turning natural fear and insecurity into supernatural boldness for the mission.

Finding Freedom in a Culture of Performance

In this insightful teaching, James Gutierrez explores the lifelong education of a believer. While we often look for tangible markers of progress, true spiritual growth isn't found in a checklist of rituals, but in the growing presence of joy, peace, and the ability to forgive. By examining the historical context of Paul’s letter to the Galatians, James highlights the age-old tension between "Jesus alone" and "Jesus plus something else." This message is a vital reminder that God's grace is not a passive concept, but an active force meant to grow us and set us free from the fear of failure.

-- Understating that legalism is rooted in a desire for control and a fear of unconditional love.

-- Recognizing that the fruit of legalism is fear, which creates tiers of "quality" Christians and destroys authentic community.

-- Learning to share each other's burdens as a primary way to obey the "law of Christ" and defeat isolation.

-- The necessity of maintaining a "learner’s heart" to remain open to the Holy Spirit’s teaching.

-- Embracing celebration as the completion of worship, dwelling on God's goodness rather than our next task.

— Pastor Mike Jenkins

<description>

From the early 1900s political campaigns of Anna Jarvis to the ancient legacies of Sarah and Mary, motherhood has always been a position of strategic spiritual influence. Pastor Mike Jenkins explores how mothers serve as the primary "spiritual coaches" in the household, managing faith formation and laying moral foundations that last for generations. Through the stories of biblical mothers who faced barrenness, fear, and public shame, we see a recurring theme: a mother’s faith is often the anchor of God’s redemption plan for a family.

-- Mothers are the primary spiritual leaders in the home, leading conversations about God and the Bible over 70% of the time according to research.

-- The "domestic church" is built through daily routines like morning prayer, scripture reading, and the integration of faith into mundane moments.

-- Biblical examples like Jochebed and Hannah show that a mother’s courage and persistence in prayer can literally change the course of a nation’s history.

-- Mary, the mother of Jesus, provides a roadmap for navigating "impossible" situations with quiet strength and a heart that treasures God’s small daily moments.

-- Intergenerational faith is a crucial link, as seen in the lives of Eunice and Lois, who passed a sincere faith down to Timothy.

In a world filled with emergency responses, trauma, and uncertainty, humanity is collectively crying out for a single thing: hope. In this foundational message, Pastor Mike Jenkins explores the theological and practical distinctives that set a Pentecostal community apart. Sharing his own harrowing medical journey through a sudden cardiac episode and a severe cancer diagnosis, Pastor Mike delivers a firsthand testimony of divine healing that defies medical expectations.

True kingdom impact cannot be contained within the four walls of a building. Addressing everything from the biblical validity of women in ministry to the absolute necessity of racial unity within the body of Christ, this teaching challenges believers to evaluate the evidence they leave behind in their local communities. It is a timely call to step out of comfortable routines and step into the supernatural empowerment of the Holy Spirit to reach the ends of the earth.

-- This church is built to be a refuge of hope, offering a message of abundant life to help people cope with and overcome the heavy trials of life.

-- The unique identity of a Pentecostal fellowship is anchored in biblical power and eternal fruit, which serve as the visible evidence of faith to the surrounding community.

-- The fourfold mission focuses on evangelizing the lost, worshiping God, edifying believers, and showing genuine compassion to the needy through practical outreach.

-- Scriptural integrity demands the full recognition of women in pastoral, prophetic, and administrative leadership, following the patterns set in the New Testament.

-- The global mandate of the Great Commission includes every local community, requiring churches to actively reflect the multicultural, multiracial diversity of heaven.

<description>

In this stirring message, Pastor Mike Jenkins opens a powerful series on what it truly means to live out our faith in the modern world. Counting down the days to Pentecost, he reminds us that Jesus did not call us to be mere churchgoers, but active disciples who carry His presence, power, and compassion into our daily environments, whether that is across the backyard fence or standing in line at the grocery store.

By looking closely at the early Church, Pastor Mike challenges believers to stop hiding behind religious traditions and legalism. Instead, we are called to lean heavily on the Holy Spirit for the wisdom and anointing required to reach the lost, mend the broken, and actively write the next chapter of God's redemptive story right where we live.

Main Takeaways From This Message

-- The building we meet in is completely secondary; the people themselves are the true, living Church designed to represent Christ to the community.

-- To truly walk as a disciple of Jesus Christ, one must first possess a genuine, ongoing willingness to be taught rather than maintaining a religious club mentality.

-- The Holy Spirit provides authentic supernatural power and divine remembrance to everyday, normal individuals, completely bypassing the need for legalistic rules or pharisaical legalism.

-- Every believer shares an equal, direct responsibility to earnestly pray for harvest workers and to actively win the lost through personal, compassionate invitations.

-- True evangelism relies entirely on the Holy Spirit's conviction rather than human condemnation, arguments, or preaching down our noses at broken people.

-- The original Book of Acts serves as our definitive evangelical blueprint, and our daily obedience determines how the next chapter of God's power unfolds in our neighborhoods.

<description>

We often treat the book of Acts like a history lesson rather than a blueprint for our daily lives. In this powerful continuation of the series, Pastor Mike Jenkins reminds us that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was not a one-time historical event. Instead, it was the multi-generational equipping of the body of Christ to carry out a definitive marching order.

Through a deep dive into Peter’s bold sermon on the day of Pentecost, we see a dramatic shift from a man who failed and denied Christ to an empowered witness who saw 3,000 souls saved in a single day. God is not looking for flawless individuals, eloquent speakers, or clever business plans to transform our communities. He is looking for imperfect people who are willing to look in the mirror, emulate Jesus, and step out in supernatural boldness. Whether you are standing in a long checkout line at Walmart or talking to your neighbors, you possess a gift and a talent designed to carry the gospel to the lost.

Main points from the message:

-- The living word of God is intended to be applied actively to our daily lives when we leave the church building, shifting our mindset from routine duty to true spiritual activation.

-- Jesus provided a definitive marching order to go out and make disciples of all nations rather than simply collecting casual church-goers.

-- When we look in the mirror, our lives and actions must reflect Christ-likeness so that the surrounding world clearly encounters Jesus through us.

-- Jesus explicitly empowered his followers to do the same miraculous works he performed, sending the Holy Spirit as our ultimate helper to eliminate every excuse of inadequacy.

-- God intentionally chooses and operates through imperfect people to accomplish his divine will and shatter the destructive works of the enemy.

-- True spiritual revival does not depend on human ingenuity, witty programs, or corporate business plans, but relies entirely on the executing power of God's word found in the book of Acts.

In this message, Pastor Mike Jenkins challenges believers to move past religious terminology and step into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. By examining how the Gospel was preached long before the New Testament was ever written, this teaching connects the Old Testament promises directly to our modern lives, proving that God's plan for your redemption has been in motion since the very beginning.

-- We are fully commissioned to share our faith because we are the unique salt and light in our specific workplaces and neighborhoods.

-- Repentance and the Kingdom of Heaven were the central, identical opening messages of both John the Baptist and Jesus Christ.

-- The law acts as a strict measuring stick that reveals our shortfalls, proving that no human can follow it perfectly in letter or spirit.

-- Cleansing from sin requires a bloody sacrifice of an innocent life, a requirement fully and permanently satisfied by Jesus as the Lamb of God.

-- The Old Testament contains the Gospel in promise form, revealing a complete redemption plan through Abraham, Moses, and David.
