Coffee with a Cop

The Tallahassee Police Department partnered with McDonald's to present the Coffee with a Cop event. Citizens and police officers came together to discuss issues affecting the community and to get to know one another. Check with your local McDonald's to find an event like this near you!

Hometown Hero

Beginning in 2015, Altrua has been pleased to work with VetEvents Tally to honor a local hometown hero that served our country and community at the Annual Veteran’s Day Parade. Our honoree prominently rides on our float and is recognized in a ceremony directly after the parade during which a special package of services, gifts and corporate donations are put together to say thank you to our Hometown Hero and their family. A selection committee of professionals that work in our local veteran’s community is organized a few months prior to the parade and begin the interview process with potential candidates.
